It seems that my shoots are taking me all over the place at the moment and very little time in between. I am sitting at Sofia airport after a private workshop in Bulgaria as I write this. Once again I have been trying to finish this for a while!
On a recent trip to shoot an apartment in Paris and my friend’s house near Chantilly for a magazine, we had a couple hours free to do a bit of sightseeing. My friend Jeff took me to the village of Gerberoy.
A chocolate box village that even under grey skies was a pleasure to visit. I was also lucky to see it in full bloom. A village officially classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France! It was apparently due to the influence of the artist Henri Le Sidaner who resided here and planted roses and encouraged the other villagers to do the same. From colourful timber structured houses to stone houses the village is really a perfect way to lose yourself for a couple of hours.
If you do find yourself in this area then I do highly recommend popping in. You can also have a coffee or lunch in one of the cafes (like the one below!)

Wowww—thank you for sharing! The town does look beautiful, and your photographs also deserve so much praise for their beauty!
Seeing Gerberoy in the title made me pause in my scrolling. I couldn't think why it rang it bell and then you mentioned Le Sidaner. There are 2 works of his in a museum not too far from me and I always visit them when I go there. Thanks for this insight into his environment.
