It appears that despite my best efforts, I haven’t managed to keep up with writing on Substack. I am hoping this will all change next year. I am delighted that work has been so busy in the last few months taking me to Bulgaria, Paris, London, Spain, Morocco and Bordeaux but it hasn’t left me much time to concentrate on other things.
I’ve been running workshops, shooting for clients, being part of an exhibition in Bordeaux, Christmas open studios, markets and more recently writing ! Not that I would ever say that I was a writer and the process has been somewhat of a challenge, especially being surrounded by writers in my family but I had the nicest compliment from my mother who said she very much enjoyed reading my article!
As I race to finish all my last deadlines, shutting down the computer this evening and resisting the urge to reply to one last email or work on another photo before we leave this year for Romania. No Provençal christmas for us this year, but instead heading off for a mini adventure to Bucharest, Brasov and Sibiu to join my brother who has been living there since August.
Will I refrain from taking photographs the whole time - of course not. It’s my job and it’s my passion. I’d be lost without a camera by my side. Am I excited - YES! We may even have a white Christmas which is so exciting.
So at the end of what seems to have been a rather exciting year for us here in Provence with hopefully more great things ahead in 2025, it just leaves me to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year. Thank you for following me here and I hope to be more involved next year.
Be kind and let us not forget those who will be spending a difficult Christmas/Winter around the world.
With love Joanna x
Enjoy - take care ⛄️❄️❄️
I wish you all the best and hope that we can pick up again sometime early in 2025.
All the best
Judy
