So the second installment in my series of ‘ Photographers I love or admire’. We have over at

Two Photographers

encouraged our group to learn and follow other photographers. Although I mainly work in the field of Interiors, I love the work of Fashion Photographers immensely.

I have a library of books on Photography, Design, Interiors and Travel. It’s important to study the greats. Aim high. Don’t look sideways look up. I have become a better photographer because I read/look at other photographers.

Sarah Moon - where to start. I just love and admire her work. I also loved that she was once interviewed by someone I know who said that she was asking her about technique and Sarah said that that is so boring let’s talk about creativity. Brilliant.

Sarah Moon is another Fashion Photographer, starting her career as a mannequin then moved to photography and film. You will see a pattern emerging soon of photographers I love! She has a unique style that sets her work apart. It is impossible not to recognise a photograph by Sarah Moon, the beauty, the ethereal feel and that camera blur / double exposure.

Sarah Moon is another photographer I turn to for creativity and wonder. She is self taught like myself. She broke the mould early on and another one who changed the way people looked at fashion photography. Her photographs are dreamlike, other worldly, intensely beautiful unique and poetic. There is only one Sarah Moon.

My friend

Aurélie

and also my gallerist in Bordeaux who also loves Sarah Moon, told me that her mother worked for an ad agency in Paris and handled the account Cacharel of which she worked for. How amazing is that! I would definitely love to sit down with Sarah Moon.
